Who is iComprehend Academy?
We believe that education is a lifelong process, one that requires freedom and creativity, and that allows for individuality. We aspire to provide an excellent curriculum and passionate teachers who know what your child needs. Learning doesn’t stop at graduation; we each need to continually learn and adapt. This is the philosophy we teach by and, in doing so, hope to encourage our students to seek constant improvement and new experiences.

Laura Creach
HEAD of SCHOOL
I have been privileged to have been directly involved in teaching and shaping young lives, from grades K to 12. I have spent 31 years serving as a teacher, principal and curriculum developer. In 2005, I became involved in online education and immediately saw the benefits it provides to children and families. Attending school in a virtual setting is the great equalizer in education. Students, regardless of zip code, are able to receive the same high quality teachers and curriculum. Virtual education provides students the opportunities for an individualized approach to their learning. All students are unique and iCA provides a unique and personalized strategy for teaching each student.
Virginia Haupt
ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER
I am a qualified Science and Life Science educator with 29 years of experience in the public school sector and as the principal of a private school. Over the past 10 years as the Curriculum Development Manager, it has been my privilege to work with a team of other Educators and design specialists in curriculum development. My passion is to be instrumental in bringing quality education which is also character based to students of all ages.


Annette Stegen
ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER
I have a Bachelor of Education specialising in Mathematics, Geography and Accounting for high school students. I have 18 years of teaching experience, during which time I worked with learners of all ages, but mainly with learners in grades 6 to 12. I have also been involved in curriculum development for more than 13 years. As a teacher and curriculum developer, I have seen the importance of presenting material in a way that helps students to not only master the content, but also use it to equip themselves for the future. I am passionate about finding and unlocking the potential that is hidden within each student.
Jeshurun Subramani
ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER
I am qualified in Electrical Engineering and have taught in a school for 6½ years. My specialist subjects are Mathematics and Science and I have taught this in various grades from grade 4 to 12. We all desire to impact the world and make it a better place. We need to educate young people to achieve this. I am passionate about equipping young people with knowledge and tools to become good global global citizens who become effective in their communities, social environments, and in their family units.


Rob Ward
ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER
I have followed a diverse commercial career over a period of more than twenty years. For the last five years I have been working exclusively in the education field. I am passionate about unlocking potential by ensuring that quality education is accessible to all. Modern technologies enable efficient and affordable content delivery mechanisms. This combined with research into online learning and the implementation of successful blended learning methodologies, is leading education, worldwide, into a new era. I have been involved with iCA since its inception and am determined to leverage modern technology whilst ensuring that traditional values and a focus on the holistic development of the individual is achieved.
Bridget Ward
ACADEMIC BOARD MEMBER
I have been working within the education sector for the last eight years, seeking communication solutions that cater for the educator, parents, learners, and the education institution. No doubt, the appetite for online education solutions is growing exponentially. The worldwide pandemic helped the trend along, but it is certainly here to stay and will increasingly become a worldwide norm. I am delighted to be working with iCA as it offers reliable, accredited education within the framework of providing an individualised approach for each learner. Additionally, an emphasis on character development and equipping for global citizenry.

I completed my studies at the University of Louisiana at Monroe and earned a M.Ed Secondary Education/Psychology and a B.A. Social Studies/Math. I am National Board certified in Early Adolescent Mathematics and hold 11 state certifications in Mathematics, Social Studies, History, Government and Administration in grade PreK-12. I have a passion for transforming education through blended learning and working with organizations to achieve this goal. I love seeing students developing into the best possible version of themselves and impacting society for a brighter future. I am so grateful to be a part of this process.
